- Red Eyes and Emergency Services
Drs. Wong and Solum are primary care providers for the eye. If you have a 'pink eye' or infection, a sudden change in vision, or an eye injury, call our office for an immediate appointment. We will fit you into our schedule as soon as possible. If you are having an eye emergency after hours, please contact us at 425-444-4895 or 425-444-0688 for a consultation. If you cannot reach us, proceed to your nearest emergency room. - Glaucoma and Macular Degeneration
Edmonds Vision Center is proud to offer the latest technology to diagnose, treat, and manage glaucoma and macular degeneration. We use Optical Coherence Tomography by Zeiss to visualize the retina and optic nerve in microscopic detail. We used computerized visual field analyzers, digital photography, and pachymetry to monitor your vision. Our doctors are experienced in managing two of the leading causes of vision impairment in the United States. We are constantly learning about the latest treatments and strategies to preserve our most valuable faculty, eyesight. - Dry Eye Syndrome
Drs. Wong and Solum diagnose and treat all kinds of eye conditions. One of the more common problems we see in our practice is Dry Eye Syndrome. It affects all ages, although contact lens wearers and post-menopausal women are the most affected, but is amenable to a variety of treatments. The most basic treatment is lubrication, but sometimes oral and/or topical prescription medicine, oral supplements, or punctal plugs are required to alleviate the most severe symptoms. Schedule an appointment for a dry eye evaluation if you are not tolerating your contact lenses, or if you have red, irritated and watery eyes. We can help you see and feel better. - Digital Retinal Photography
Edmonds Vision Center uses digital photography to help detect and manage diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive (high blood pressure) retinopathy, plaquenil and other high risk medication side effects, and document suspicious 'spots' on the front and back of eye.
