Each month Jim Forgey makes his rounds in Edmonds to recycle an item you might not have thought about, eyewear. He stops at optical offices like Edmonds Vision Center and community sites such as the South County Senior Center and Edmonds Library always hoping to find a full recycle box.

Oct 26, 2010 - New Technology for better Eyecare.

Edmonds Vision Center uses state of the art diagnostic equipment to provide you and your family with the most comprehensive eye examination and advanced eyewear. We utilized digital photography of the front and back of eye to document and study your eyes in great detail. We use automated visual field perimetry to detect the subtlest vision loss. In July of 2008, Edmonds Vision Center installed the world's most advanced retinal scanner, also known as an Optical Coherence Tomographer, for glaucoma and macular degeneration diagnosis and treatment. In 2010 EVC is proud to introduce our latest technology to fit RGP contact lenses. WAVE topography allows us to custom design the most accurate bifocal and single vision contacts. Apr 2, 2009 - We are now 'paperless', to provide you better service and save our environment!!

We are now using electronic records. Edmonds Vision Center believes that it is our responsibility to be 'green' as much as possible. While we do use some paper during our day, we are using much less, and we recycle most of our refuse to minimize our impact on the environment. Being electronic also means we can provide better, faster, and more efficient service to our patients. No more lost charts, perfect handwriting, and better documentation. We are constantly striving to be on the cutting edge of technology.
